I wonder how much it weighs with all the weight savings. The Challenger is way too heavy for a muscle car, as is the Camaro. Even the new Stang is a little heavy.

Build it. I like the Challenger, but hate all of the luxury crap you have to get. Ditto with the Mustang (Cobra Jets aside, which aren't street legal) and Camaro. Cheap+v8=musclecar

AC is short for Air Conditioning. It's those vents that keep your warm or cool depending on the season and day. R/T 500? You got something mixed up, the R/T is its own. The 500 was used long ago in late 60's and early 70's for the Charger.

You flooded it when you tried to start it. Since it's a 1970 Challenger with a 426 Hemi (very rare) you should have respect for it and what your dad owns. When those cars start up it takes them about 5 mins to warm up and idle. Most had a manual heat activated choke that mounted in the intake manifold but a lot of people removed them, thats why the cars wont idle at start up. It was a different time and they were different cars.

AMC's were assembled overseas from "knockdown" kits. I'd be real interested in seeing factory or dealer paperwork showing a Chrysler Ambassador. AMC's were sold under agreement with Kaiser and then Renault in Argentina and as American Motors International in Austrailia as well as Karmann Javelins sold in Germany. AMC built right hand drive ambassadors in US for mail delivery...little doubt it was an AMC originally...i don't think AMC's were ever built outside the US, but not sure. they used parts from everyone, so it wouldn't surprise me if they had a deal to sell them through mopar dealers down there...
