the most amazing thing about what Ford has done... they are the only auto manufacturer that accomplished the amount of power they have using the lowest octane level of fuel on the market. GM and Dodge are pushing for higher octane to get optimal results and power. Although i do use highest octane available in all my vehicles it is just something to think about.

@cammandercody501 not true in the tests against the previous mustang the camaro did win but the new mustangs are completely redone and the engines and new handling if you have not driven the new mustang you wouldnt know how much better it is

@fattycorpsl I wasnt racking on Mopar bro. Im a bit of a Dodge guy, but I swing towards Pontiac and Chevrolet. I just dont like Ford, especially mustang, they are overrated chick cars. It's like everybody who drives a mustang thinks they have some kind of beast supercar or something, when in fact its not even close. But im not worried about it all I drive is a 95 3.4 Camaro, which in reality was not impressive for GM

@jayocular it is based on ratio's. For the SS top of the line being compared to a midline ford that is not a good thing for GM. They should be in the class of the Corvette or even the 911 Carrera S. yet the SS falls into the midline performance class. And that is the top line Camaro.

@Tyler8994 could you link me the supposed complaints from Ford on GM's release of new products... Thanks in advance. Also they are comparing the SS to a GT to a SRT8. SS and SRT8 are the top of the line in both Challenger and Camaro. GT is the midline. what does that tell you. Put them against the Z06 to the Shelby GT 500. SS is will get blown away on both accounts. A 367 Hp doing 0-60 in 4.9 and a 305 in 4.8.... and is 111HP less. Hardly find that impressive for GM.

@Hordetuff Chevy is years behind? Ford had to step up their game because they were way ahead of Chevy? No, Ford was the one that was years behind buddy. Ford complains everytime Chevrolet comes out with something better. So they scrounge up whatever they got to make it better, and guess what it didnt work. The Camaro still has more horsepower, end of story.

The ONLY way Ford gets more horsepower is when they throw a freakin supercharger on everything they got, then that puts out almost the same numbers. Just picked up a new 2010 GT a few weeks ago (got a smokin' deal)... nice to know that even though we don't have the 5.0 it is still better than the competition...and hey there is a serious aftermarket for the 4.6 3v this motor is running 9's with a stock longblock...

pretty lame reason why ford came in first over chevy.chevy pretty much out performed both of the other 2.my opinion isnt biased to any of the 3 since i lost faith in american car companies once technology took back seat over saving a buck on building here in america.what ever happen to american quality built anyways?

I have a 427r trak pak, and have beat 2 Camaros. One was faster than the other, I really don't ever want to lose to one. I'm not sayin Fords are better. I actually like chevy,Dodge, and Fords. I just had to get this stang because it's the nicest one I ever saw, and it is pretty fast. White with black wheels looks crazy. Ford haters are like, "damn, that's nice though'
