@club442 I rebuilt my 70 455 motor with Joe Mondello's parts and instructions, and he said to use VERY WEAK front springs to get the weight transfer to the ass end fast! If you want to make time, of course slicks will be paramount. But then again, if it's a daily driver, consider other wise! Mine had the 4:11 rear and a Muncie Rock Crusher... Not very fast , but it got to 90 VERY swiftly, and sucked the air out of the cars next to me! :) (Wear a neck brace!)

@kreigsmann no the W-30 was not just a trim option. It was an Olds 455 with higher flowing heads and four barrel carb. Rated at 370 hp but I'm sure they probably produced more.

Slicks or a nice set of radials are the biggest help. Suspension helps before the mini tub was put in it ran best 10.72 with a different motor, stock type suspension with 10.5's, best sixty was 1.40, now best has been 1.37.

One can fire +Ps out of any steel frame S&W revolver provided it was made after 1958. Although I would not feed a steady diet of these higher pressure rounds with ANY .38 revolver. Send a vote to S&W and DO NOT buy this version with the lock. There are plenty of NO LOCK 442/642s out there for sale, brand new. Around $450 BTW: There is probably no god to bless America with. But long live the Republic!

Sootch, just my $.02 about revolvers. While they are generally full proof, I believe that a bobbed hammer is necessary, particularly when you are shooting lead round nosed bullets like the ones in the video. After loading the gun, you can pull back the hammer slightly and spin the cylinder to make sure that the cylinder cycles properly. This will alert you to bullets that are improperly seated in their casings. I once had a failure to fire during a qualifying shoot w/ Remington ammo.

I bought this firearm for my wife's conceal carry gun. The issue she has with it is while shooting, the recoil hurts her hand. She has tried to cope with it but to no avail. She is afraid of the recoil so it stays in the safe. I do not have any problem with the recoil at all. I do armed security and use this for my backup firearm.

@freestate239 The 642 is a bit lighter than the P232, and it launches a more effective cartridge, the .38 Special +P. When you get into the GOOD ammo in .38+P (Speer Gold Dot 135 gr; Remington 158 gr "FBI" lead hollowpoint; etc.) you have something that is actually pretty effective. The .380 is not at that level. If you can shoot a small revolver proficiently, I would go with the 642 because of its greater punch. If not, the P232 is a sweet little gun and easier to shoot accurately.

i was lucky enough to have heard this song, when i bought the reord based on the cover. when i DID hear this,,,and knowing music (read my bio)..i thought to meself.. this fuxing band is incredible..and i mean,, this is not your typical shit. they played the Starwood in LA soon after,,and i was stnading there,,less than 6 feet from her & band..and the power precision they showed, was spectacular. it's NOT punk.it's the best Power-POP ever. & debbie and her dedication to her man, is true love.
