just omg ._.
By: SoarNaked. on 25 Jul 10, 21:38:16
@boeing521 Throttling down and then up is controlled by the computer. There is no crew interaction. And it was not to cold to launch when they did but the whole shuttle stack kind of got cold soaked the night before which effected the performance of certain parts.

Oh my! Just LOOK at all the aeronautic geniuses below! My gosh, EVERYBODY seems to work at NASA these days!
By: boeing521. on 23 Jul 10, 21:56:51
@umahuma4 O-rings? Sorry I'm not exactly to familiar with the space shuttle....but he did go at throttle up too soon. And I didn't know it was so cold at Kennedy that it could freeze shuttle parts :S.
By: boeing521. on 23 Jul 10, 21:55:44
@WeesnawBoy I realize that....what did I even say? And this was sad...the Challenger shouldn't have blown up, the Columbia shouldn't have crashed, any type of air accidents should never have to happen to put in new rules, NASA and the FAA should realize what can be a safety hazard first and not take risks.
By: xThunderThumbsx. on 21 Jul 10, 02:38:09
@AJproductions8910 Thats because hes not actually watching the shuttle. Hes watching the radio readings and data. He obviously saw something drastically change in the data, then went over and saw what happened. With these kinda jobs you cant freak out. That would make everyone else freak out twice as much. You have to keep cool.
By: pattyk77. on 20 Jul 10, 17:08:53
@AJproductions8910 yeah, that's odd. No emotion at all. He even waited a few seconds to respond.

LMFAO 1:53 "Obviously a major malfunction" Really??? You don't say... RIP to the brave crew.

@PetefoOledya The best thing to do is a crisis is to keep a level head.
By: yoyoyoyoshua. on 16 Jul 10, 09:05:42
@PetefoOledya they probely have to stay calm so they can think of what to do
By: PetefoOledya. on 15 Jul 10, 20:49:26
The people talking didnt really seem bothered that it blew up xD
By: AwesomeJokes. on 12 Jul 10, 00:07:29
@HLGGanoth it's in the report from NASA
By: anonymousent. on 11 Jul 10, 22:30:42
@SoarNaked I'm not ... we cool ....
By: SoarNaked. on 11 Jul 10, 21:21:08
@anonymousent I agreed with you that it could be blown up by the Airforce. So what are you disagreeing to ?
By: SoarNaked. on 11 Jul 10, 21:17:33
@anonymousent It doesnt work like that. It means some companies have more efficient ways of operating. The parts have to be built the same no matter who makes them. Sorry, I disagree with your theory.
By: anonymousent. on 11 Jul 10, 20:54:20
@SoarNaked Yes there is .... what the PUBLIC don't know / won't hurt .... and what you don't know doesn't mean it doesn't exist ...
By: anonymousent. on 11 Jul 10, 20:53:38
@SoarNaked ..... maybe not ..... but cheaper labor / cheaper parts ....
By: SoarNaked. on 11 Jul 10, 19:19:18
@anonymousent Nasa does not have a self destruct button. The AirForce has the requirement on the Eastern Test Range to blow up any rocket leaving KSC or the Cape or the eastern Atlantic. This is a process that takes more than 1 person to do just like launching in the first place. I dont know where this tank seal thing came from. There is no such thing...
By: SoarNaked. on 11 Jul 10, 19:12:27
@anonymousent Lowest bidder does not mean they built it to low standards..
By: anonymousent. on 11 Jul 10, 15:15:58
@bla7091 Whatever happened was bound to happen .... your talkin' about a BILLION DOLLAR vehicle with parts built by the LOWEST BIDDER ....... it's kinda like taking your 2010 MERCEDES over to the local Autozone or O'Rileys Auto Parts & the guy behind the counter says - Uh, we got ya covered ....
By: bla7091. on 11 Jul 10, 12:59:33
@anonymousent Strongly believe... well there is no evidence from the scene to back up that suspicion, while it does suggest a mechanical malfunction You're entitled to your opinion though, no matter how you form it
By: anonymousent. on 10 Jul 10, 12:17:17
@bla7091 ..... didn't say " deliberately " .... i said " ACCIDENTIALLY " .... there's lots of buttons & switches at NASA and lots of people .... there's always one in any job position " fuckin' up " - and i strongly believe someone this day WAS ON THA SAUCE .... that's just my opinion
